Canada #83 (SG#164) 10c Brown Violet 1898-1902 Numeral Issue Horizontal Wove Paper VF-75 NH

A post office fresh and very fine mint NH single of the 10c brown violet, Queen Victoria stamp from the 1898-1902 Numeral Issue. Horizontal wove paper with fine vertical mesh and light cream gum with a satin sheen. A desirable stamp in pristine condition. Scarce, as only 2,725,000 were originally issued between 1898 and 1902, and the number that have survived without being hinged is quite small. Unitrade values a VF-75 NH single at $2,250.
