Collection: Current Weekly Auction - Closing Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:30 pm Atlantic Time

Welcome to our weekly unreserved auction! This week we complete the fish and marine life theme. I have made Josh and Will responsible for this part of the auction entirely, so that I can focus on lotting Canada.

Canada this week will be the best in-depth offering ever of the 1980-1981 commemorative issues, plus the definitives from 1953 to 1967. For the 1980-1981 issues I examined every stamp we had with a loupe, and no joke, I have found many constant unlisted varieties, as well as several others that I am confident will turn out to be at least tertiary. I plan to publish two blog posts at the end of the week, with one dealing with the collection and study of constant varieties and the other about collecting modern Canada.

We are trying for 500 lots this week, though Will and Josh did not have enough time this week to assemble, scan and lot 300 lots, reaching only 200 lots. Consequently, there is a 100 lot gap in the sequence, which I will attempt to narrow over the weekend. I doubt though, that I will be able to close it entirely.  The first 256 are listed now, and I am busy scanning and getting ready to list the next 84 Canada lots. I've nearly finished the descriptions, but have to complete the scans, which I will do tonight.

If you are new to the auction, please visit our FAQ page for a description of all the relevant terms and conditions. Please also note that all Canadian residents will be charged appropriate sales taxes based on where they reside.
