Canada #MR3 (SG#231) 2+1c Deep Bright Rose Red 1915-1916 Admiral War Tax Stamp Die 1 VF-77 OG

A well centered and very fine mint OG example of the 2+1c deep bright carmine rose (carmine in Unitrade) die 1 Admiral war tax stamp from the 1911-1928 Admiral issue. Printed on white vertical wove paper measuring 0.004" thick with fine vertical mesh. The gum is a smooth, shiny yellowish cream, characteristic of the wartime wet printings made before 1917. Unitrade values a VF-75 OG example at $60. The stamp offered here grades 77 as follows:
