Lot 185 Sweden SC#668a (Facit #HA15B1R)/668a (Facit #HA15E2R) 1966 King Gustav VI Adolf Definitive Issue, Different Cream Cover Designs & Stocks, Upright Panes, Central and Bisected Registration Lines, 3 VFNH Booklets of 6 (2 +2 +2), Estimated Value $7

3 VFNH booklets of 6 (2 +2 +2) from the 1966 Re-Engraved King Gustav VI Adolf Definitive Issue. Different cream cover designs & stocks, upright panes, central and bisected registration lines. The Scott and Facit numbers range from 668a (Facit #HA15B1R) to 668a (Facit #HA15E2R), and include 668a (Facit #HA15B1R, E1R, E2R). The booklet covers show 2 and 4 lines of text on the front, are different on the backs, are cream coloured, and show a dot pattern on two of the booklets (Postcalendern covers with Zip code), with the third having a rough surface on the cover stock. The dot pattern on the covers are little divots that run the length of the cover. I've seen these exact same divots on examples of the integral Centennial Issue booklets of Canada, most notably BK69, but others as well. In additionTwo of the booklets (Postkanendern covers) have a cover stock that incorporates brown inclusions that at first resemble toning spots, but which are actual pulp inclusuions that appear dark under UV. On one of these booklets the inclusions appear on the outside of the cover, but not the inside, whereas on the other they appear on the inside, but not the outside. These two booklets also show a bisected registration marking on the tab, while the third booklet has a centrally placed line (Djurpark back cover with split spine). 2014 Facit Cat Kr. 54. Our estimate of the value based on the condition is $7.
