Lot 237 Canada #37, F1a 2c-3c Queen Victoria, 1870-1897 Small Queen Issue, A VF Combination Registered and 3c Small Queen Franking on 1887 Cover to Ottawa

A very fine registered cover from Montreal sent to Ottawa on December 23rd 1887, franked with a 3c orange red Small Queen stamp from the Montreal printing and a 2c orange red registered stamp, paying the registered rate of mail delivery. The backstamp shows it arrived in Ottawa on December 24th. A small tear is present just above the stamp on the upper right hand side. Unitrade values a fine cover at $55, with a premium for very fine.
