8 VFNH singles of the 17c multicoloured Maps of Canada from the 1981 Canada Day Issue. Very dark blue ocean, DF1/DF2 Paper, different grey, purple & violet shades. The colour of the ocean, the grey and the shading on the Northern Territories part of the map shows considerable variation on this issue, with the oceam appearing very deep blue and then a more medium blue. The shading of the non-Canadian territory varies from light to dark grey. Finally, the shading of the Northern Territories varies from dull bluish violet to purple. These stamps all have dark blue ocean and are on DF1/DF2 paper. All but one have the lighter grey shading, and all are a mix of violet and purple shades on the map.
